diferències, es sol avaluar la intel·ligència a través de la &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;capacitat per resoldre problemes&lt;/span&gt;,  que es considera  una competència que es pot aprendre (veure currículum CCBB, competència d'aprendre a aprendre). Desde entonces, la investigación científica ha validado esa idea al punto de ser un conocimiento común. Después de todo, el oído es el primer órgano en ser totalmente funcional cuando el feto tiene tan solo cuatro y medio meses de edad. Henry Truby (1) reporta que un feto de seis meses mueve su cuerpo al ritmo del habla de la madre. Basado en una revisión exhaustiva de literatura científica, Tomatis (2) concluye que la voz de la madre no sólo es un nutriente emocional para el niño, sinó también prepara al niño para adquirir el lenguaje después de nacer. Es decir que la escucha se inicia en el útero.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;Por esta razón, Tomatis propone el usar la voz de la madre para reabrir este proceso auditivo. La voz es filtrada para ser similar a los sonidos escuchados dentro del útero. A partir de las reacciones de tanto niños como adultos, es claro que el uso de la voz de la madre tiene un gran impacto: los niños con frecuencia se relajan como si la voz los calmara; ellos muestran más afecto, particularmente hacia la madre. La voz de la madre proporciona la base sólida que permite que el proceso de escucha se desenvuelva, junto con las etapas de desarrollo que llevan al desarrollo del lenguaje. El proceso completo consiste en "reprogramar" los diferentes estadios del desarrollo humano por medio de una experiencia simbólica.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;Debido a que Tomatis utiliza la voz de la madre como parte del proceso terapéutico, algunas personas han concluido erróneamente que Tomatis pone a la madre como responsable de los problemas del niño. Esta de ninguna manera es la postura de Tomatis. El uso de la voz de la madre es para Tomatis, una herramienta terapéutica para crear o restaurar el vínculo entre madre e hijo que no se desarrolló totalmente. Cientos de estudios de investigación sobre la vinculación muestran que este vínculo (madre-hijo) es primordial. Es la base sobre la que se construyen el sentimiento de seguridad personal y el deseo de comunicar. Al usar la voz de la madre, Tomatis trata de despertar en el niño el deseo de reconectar y escuchar a sus cuidadores primarios y a su entorno. Este acercamiento "psicológico" tiene que ir mano en mano con una integración de los sistemas sensoriales. Existen diferencias temperamentales entre un recién nacido hiperactivo y otros niños. Es posible que el origen de estas diferencias temperamentales venga condicionado por los niveles bioquímicos del sistema nervioso.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;En nuestro cerebro una neurona desprende una pequeña cantidad de substancia química(neurotransmisor) que recoge otra neurona, a la vez se excita y envía el mensaje a otra neurona. Cuando un neurotransmisor es escaso o se da en exceso ocurre que, la neurona no se excita o se excita demasiado, con lo que se produce un desequilibrio entre los neurotransmisores.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Se conoce que un ambiente estresante y desorganizado puede acentuar la hiperactividad. Un niño con ambiente familiar organizado y sosegado sigue siendo hiperactivo.
